Vialand (Isfanbul) Theme Park – All You Need To Know
If you are visiting the city of Istanbul you must spend a day at the Isfanbul Theme Park (formerly Vialand). Located in the Eyüp District, this great theme park opened its doors in 2013. The construction of the complex started in September 2011.
At first, Isfanbul was officially called Vialand. It was renamed in April 2018, but many tourists and locals still called it Vialand.
A Shopping And Amusement Complex For Everyone In The Family To Enjoy
Vialand is Turkey’s first modern mega theme park. The theme park features roller coasters, fantastic rides, interactive activities and many other attractions for visitors of all ages. The complex also includes an exhibition centre, a large shopping centre with a quite unique concept and a luxury hotel. Long story short, Vialand is a unique destination that combines shopping and entertainment.
The complex has become the first in the world in terms of its concept and turned Istanbul into an entertainment centre for the Middle East and Balkans. There are few separate areas in order to attract guests of all ages, but also to allow easy access to any form of fun within the park.
Vialand is a very exciting place worth a visit. For only a short period of time, it has become one of Istanbul’s most vibrant and popular meeting spots. On an area of 600.000 m2 or size of nearly 100 football fields, visitors can experience more than 50 attractions.

Do Not Miss The Crazy River
Crazy River offers an unforgettable adventure in 9 person boats. It is one of the most popular parts of the park, often visited by groups of friends and families, so usually, you need to wait in a queue for several minutes. You get on round boats and drive along a 700 meters river and a wildly cascading waterfall. The boat goes in circles, you spin around and the water splashes into the boat.
Enjoy The Justice Tower
If you want excellent views of Vialand from above, an extreme landing and full adrenaline, take your place on the vertical line of the Justice Tower. Firstly, experience the fun of going 50 meters up. However, you will enjoy the breathtaking scene only for a while, because the brakes are immediately released and you go down swiftly.
Try The 360
Dare to open your eyes and look around from 28 meters high while your head is down. Recommended for adrenaline junkies. After the Breathtaking, 360 is one of the park’s most adrenaline-filled units.
Ride The Splash Coaster The Viking
Another water adventure is the Viking. It is the world’s fourth fun ride boat. This attraction is a bit more action-packed than the Crazy River. Sometimes lengthy queues are created from those who want to ride this unit. Be prepared to scream your lungs out since it is so fun.
Visit The King Kong Village
Meet the legendary Hollywood character and experience the Kong ride. You are in the hands of King Kong 15 meters from the ground and King Kong just tilts you from one side to the other. Witness The Conquest Of Istanbul In Fatih’s Dream Or Fatih Dark Ride
The Fatih’s Dream will take you back to the day and the year (1453) when Istanbul was conquered by Fatih the Conqueror. An exciting and educational journey through the Ottoman Empire period with hologram techniques and video mapping. This is one of the park’s most popular parts, so you may have to wait a few moments to get in.
Enjoy Pleasant Moments In The Safari Tunnel
Do not be just a traveller and observer, but became a hero of the Safari Tunnel and change the course of the Safari Tunnel’s story. First, you get on the waiting vehicles, then shoot points with the laser guns and receive points along the way. Kids, especially boys at a young age, love it.
Younger children can enjoy the carousel and mini cars, as well as other units suitable for their age, such as the Little Explorers (where children can discover the cultures of different world nations as they go through the 160 meter long channels in boats) and the Hero Firemen (where they can play firefighters). There are numerous educational and informative activities for children of elementary or secondary school. Vialand also undertakes many social responsibility projects.
Shop In Style In The Shopping Center
The shopping area is formed of indoor and outdoor streets. It is one of Istanbul’s largest retail complex. There are more than 200 stores belonging to famous international brands, many restaurants and coffee shops. In the shopping streets, you can even travel by tram and visit a cinema, bowling alley and wellness centre. The huge shopping centre also houses an indoor zoo named Jungle Park.
The complex has a parking area with a capacity of 8,000 parking spaces (4500 enclosed and 3500 outdoors). If you choose to use public transport to Vialand, you can use the buses from the central points like Şişli, Taksim and Eminönü. Vialand is open from 10 am to 6 pm Tuesday through Friday and to 8 pm on weekends. The theme park is closed on Mondays, while the shopping centre is open every day.
